How to find out who your MP is
Your MP is decided by your address, not your registration, your nationality or where you work.
Start from your postcode
Every UK address sits in exactly one parliamentary constituency, and each constituency returns one MP. Enter your postcode and we will name yours from the UK Parliament Members API, which is updated as members change.
You do not have to be on the electoral register, and you do not have to be a British citizen. Residence is what matters.
Boundaries changed at the 2024 election
The 2023 boundary review redrew almost every seat in Great Britain, so the constituency you remember from 2019 may no longer exist under that name. If a seat name looks unfamiliar, that is usually why.
When a postcode straddles two seats
A small number of postcodes cross a boundary. Where that happens, the lookup may return a neighbouring seat. Check the constituency name against your street, and if it looks wrong, try a neighbouring postcode on the same road.
When the seat is vacant
Between a death or resignation and the by-election, a constituency has no MP, and no one can take up casework on Parliament's behalf. In that window, your council and devolved representatives are the right place for most issues.
