MP lookup

Find my MP

Type your postcode and we will find the MP for your constituency, along with their party and the seat they hold. From there you can write to them in your own words, with no account and no charge.

We use it to find the representatives who can act for you in United Kingdom.

What the lookup gives you

You get the member's name, party, constituency and portrait, plus the parliamentary address their post goes to. If you live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland you will also see the devolved members who cover your address, because the issue you care about may sit with them rather than with Westminster.

  • Every one of the 650 seats, using the boundaries in force since 2024.
  • Devolved members for Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish addresses.
  • House of Lords search, for peers who have no constituency at all.

If the postcode does not resolve

New-build postcodes sometimes lag behind the boundary data by a few months. If yours is not recognised, try the postcode of a neighbouring street or search the constituency by name in the A–Z. Both routes land on the same MP page.

Finding a representative outside the UK

The same lookup works for Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and the United States, each using that country's own official source: the Oireachtas open data service, OpenNorth's Represent API, the Australian Parliament handbook, the New Zealand Parliament directory, abgeordnetenwatch.de and the US Congress directories.

Common questions

Do I need my full postcode?
Yes. The first half alone can span more than one constituency, so the full postcode is what makes the match reliable.
Where does the data come from?
The UK Parliament Members API for members, and postcode-to-constituency data for the match. Nothing is typed in by hand.
Can I find my MP by name instead?
Yes — the constituency A–Z lists every seat and its sitting member, and each has its own page.
