How the lookup works
We map your ZIP code to congressional districts using a public crosswalk, then read the current members from congressional directories. Where a ZIP spans more than one district we show every candidate district rather than guessing, because a wrong district means a letter that gets forwarded and delayed.
When your district changes
Redistricting after each decennial census, and court-ordered redraws in between, mean the member who represented your street two years ago may not represent it now. Offices route out-of-district mail to the correct member, but it costs you a week or two, so it is worth re-checking before a big vote.
After you find them
A named ask beats a general opinion. 'Vote no on the amendment to H.R. 1234' is actionable; 'do something about healthcare' is not. Include your full street address so the office can verify you are in the district, and keep it under four hundred words.

- You can browse the A–Z directory of members and districts, though the ZIP lookup is faster and less ambiguous.
- Why does my ZIP return two districts?
- ZIP codes are postal routes and do not line up with district boundaries. We show every district your ZIP touches so you can pick your own.
- Does this cover senators too?
- Yes. Senators are elected statewide, so your state determines them and both are shown alongside your House member.
