What we collect

When you write a message we collect your name, email address, postal address, an optional phone number, the subject and body of your message, and the representative you chose. We also record the time and a coarse record of your request, to stop abuse.

Why we need your address

Representatives act for the people who live in their area, and most disregard mail without a verifiable address. Your address is printed in the letter for that reason.

Who sees it

Your message and details go to the representative you chose, and to nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share your data. Campaign organisers who publish a page here see counts, never your identity or your words.

How long we keep it

Five weeks after your message is sent, we permanently erase the message body, subject, your name, your address and your email address. We retain only: which representative received a message, on what date, and whether you told us they replied. That record contains nothing that identifies you.

Unconfirmed messages are erased within seven days, when their confirmation link expires.

Email

We send from our own domain so mail is authenticated and reaches its destination. The reply address is yours, so replies never pass through us.

Tracking

No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no cross-site cookies. Your draft is held in your own browser's session storage until you submit it, and disappears when you close the tab.

Your rights

You can ask us to erase your data before the five weeks are up, or ask for a copy of it. Because we hold no accounts, we'll ask you to write from the email address you used.
