Petition text
Last year storm overflows discharged into this river for more than 2,100 hours. Local swimming clubs have stopped using it, anglers report dead stretches, and residents are told the water is safe with no testing to back it up. We are calling on the Environment Agency to publish real-time discharge data for every overflow on this catchment, to enforce existing permits with meaningful fines, and to set a binding date for ending routine discharges. Clean water is not a luxury.

Discharge figures for the last quarter are now published after our freedom of information request. They are worse than reported.
